CHANGE OF TENANCY

Change the name of an existing TNB account.

Change of Tenancy is the opening of a new account by a customer who moves into an existing property with ready electrical installations.

You may apply for Change of Tenancy when you purchase a house from its previous owner or if you are a tenant who would like to register your own name for the electricity account.

You may submit change of tenancy application at the nearest Kedai Tenaga.

    • Completed & signed Application Form
    • Copy of Applicant’s Identification Document (Authorized Person/Representative)

      • Note:

      Copy of ID must be:

      1. presented both sides;
      2. crossed at the top left corner of the image with "For TNB Purpose Only" or "Untuk Kegunaan TNB Sahaja".
    • Letter of Authorization with Company/Society/ Agencies/Government Letterhead
    • Copy of Registration Certificate (Form 9 & 49 or other form of official registration document of the Organization)
    • Documentary Proof of Premise Occupancy

    Required Payment by Applicant

    • Deposit: two months of electricity depending on the type of premises (cash or cheque)
    • RM10 stamp duty
    • Processing fee (RM3.00 for low voltage or RM80.00 for medium & high voltage)
