1. Which e-Wallet can I use to pay TNB electricity bill?
Currently, there are two (2) e-Wallet platforms that support TNB bill payment:
- Boost
- Touch 'n Go eWallet
2. Can I make TNB bill payment via other e-Wallet apps like GrabPay, ShopeePay and Lazada?
For now, you can choose either Boost or Touch 'n Go e-wallet app to pay your TNB bill.
3. When is the effective date for TNB bill payment via e-Wallet?
Effective 13 November 2021, you can pay your TNB bill via Boost and Touch ‘n Go e-Wallet apps.
4. How can I make TNB bill payment via e-Wallet?
Firstly, please download either the Boost or Touch 'n Go e-Wallet app from the Google Play Store, Apple App Store and Huawei AppGallery.
Secondly, follow these steps on how to pay your TNB bill via e-Wallet:
- Log in to e-Wallet app (Boost or Touch 'n Go eWallet)
- Key in your phone number and password to create your e-wallet account.
- Tap on the “Bills” tile and select biller “TNB”
- Enter the TNB account number and payment amount
- Review your payment and select the “Pay Now” button
- Authenticate your payment with a 6-digit PIN
- You will be notified upon successful payment
5. Is there any minimum and maximum amount for TNB bill payment via e-Wallet?
The minimum amount for TNB bill payment is RM3.00 per transaction and the maximum amount is RM5,000.00 per transaction.
6. Can I use Touch ‘n Go and Boost e-Wallet for bill payment via myTNB or at the Kedai Tenaga counter or kiosk?
Payment of electricity via e-Wallet is currently not available via myTNB App and Portal, over-the-counter and self-payment kiosks at Kedai Tenaga.
7. Who can make payments via e-Wallet?
All customers who have downloaded and registered either Boost or Touch ‘n Go e-Wallet app can pay the TNB bill. However, the maximum amount is capped at RM5,000.00 per transaction.
8. Is there any fee that I need to pay for making TNB bill payment via e-Wallet?
No fees will be charged to customers for making TNB bill payment via e-Wallet.
9. How can I reload my e-Wallet account?
You can reload e-Wallet account via online banking (FPX) or debit/credit card.
10. Can I check my outstanding TNB bill via the e-Wallet app?
Yes, you can check the outstanding TNB bill via Boost and Touch ‘n Go eWallet app.
11. How can I know whether my TNB bill payment via e-Wallet is successful?
You would receive a payment notification or digital receipt via e-Wallet app upon a successful payment is made.
12. How can I receive reward once I have made a payment via e-Wallet?
You are entitled for rewards or benefits offered by the respective Boost or Touch 'n Go eWallet platforms.
13. If I made a wrong payment or overpaid my TNB bill payment via e-Wallet, how should I channel my complaint?
You should contact Boost or Touch 'n Go eWallet Hotline Centre respectively to channel your enquiry or complaint
