Electrical Safety Guidelines During Flooding
Know more about safety measures during a flood.
When a flood happens:
- Never touch any electrical appliances or switches with wet hands
- Be careful when handling any appliances that have been submerged in water. Get it inspected and tested by certified electrical contractors before reuse
- Turn off the main switch before you move to an evacuation centre
- Do not approach or touch any snapped electrical wires as they may still conduct electricity
- Keep an eye on your children
- Do not repair any damage yourself. Contact our nearest office or call our Careline at 15454 as we are fully responsible for any overhead cables, feeder pillars, substations and underground cables, and will repair or replace them if damaged
