DEFINITION

“Domestic Consumer” means a consumer occupying a private dwelling, which is not used as a hotel, boarding house or used for the purpose of carrying out any form of business, trade, professional activities or services.

TENANCY CHANGE

Tenancy Change is the opening of a new account by a customer who moves into an existing premise with ready electrical installations.

You may apply for Tenancy Change when you purchase a house from its previous owner or if you are a tenant who would like to register your own name for the electricity account.

You may submit change of tenancy application at the nearest Kedai Tenaga.

    • Completed & signed Application Form
    • Copy of Applicant’s Identification Document
    • Identification Card (IC) or Army ID or Police ID or passport ONLY

      Note:

      Copy of ID must be:

      1. Presented both sides;
      2. Crossed at the top left corner of the image with "For TNB Purpose Only" or "Untuk Kegunaan TNB Sahaja".
    • Declaration Form (Owner of Occupier)


    • Required Payment by Applicant

    • Deposit: two months of electricity depending on the type of premises (cash or cheque)
    • RM10 stamp duty
    • Processing fee (RM3.00 for low voltage or RM80.00 for medium & high voltage)
