Following the announcement by the Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA) on 22 May 2026, the Government has introduced Sustainable Rebate and Incentive Assistance (SuRIA) Home initiative to reduce electricity costs and strengthen energy resilience amid uncertainty in the global energy market.

Domestic customers who install residential rooftop solar PV systems under the Solar ATAP (Accelerated Transition Action Programme) scheme are eligible for a cash rebate of RM600 per 1 kWac, up to a maximum of RM3,000.

Eligible customers will be contacted via their TNB registered email in phases starting 1 June 2026 onwards to submit their preferred local bank account details. Please refer to the infographic below for full eligibility criteria and the step-by-step process.
