SPECIAL INDUSTRIAL TARIFF (SIT)
Effective 1 January 2016, the Government has approved for the gradual removal of the Special Industrial Tariff (SIT) by 2% yearly from January 2016 to January 2020.
Eligibility
Previous consumers who have applied in the previous years from 2013 – 2015
No NEW SIT applications after 1 January 2016
Required documents

From Financial Year 2016 onwards, it is compulsory to appoint a registered Electrical Manager to certify the Energy Efficiency Plan and Appendix 2.
General process
If your SIT application is successful, you must sign a new electricity contract within 7 days of receiving a notification letter from TNB.
You have to apply every year for SIT.
Your application must be submitted within 5 months of the company’s financial year-end.
For re-submission cases (permohonan semula), the application will be applied one month after all required documents are received. For review cases, (permohonan ulangkaji), the SIT will be backdated from the beginning of the new company’s financial year.
